Did Jobs Copy Star Trek?

Steve Jobs was an amazing visionary... or was he? If you think about it, the senior managers at Infinity Loop may just have been great fans of Star Trek. For example, we all thought the touch interface used on the iPhone and iPad was revolutionary. But you don't have to look far to see this was really just a copy-cat of something envisioned in the 80's...

Apple was also a revolutionary when it came to getting rid of wires, and making everything wireless. I wonder what was their inspiration for that?

And now we have Siri, the new voice interface. It's almost like we've seen this somewhere else before...

If Apple keeps on this trend we should expect Apple to enter the military market with photon torpedos, the transportation industry with transporters, and the living room with a holodeck. You may laugh, but just 10 years ago we thought Star Trek technology was 23rd century stuff. Thanks to Apple, we take it for granted.
